At Worksome, we’re all about removing the headaches that come with managing an external workforce. And now, we’re taking that to the next level with Worksome Intelligence—our new AI layer that will enhance the user experience, streamline workflows, and unlock new efficiencies for both hiring managers and workers alike.
To dive deeper into this vision, our founders, Morten Petersen, Co-founder & CEO, and Hans Peter Nielsen, Co-Founder & CTO, share their thoughts on how AI is shaping the future of workforce management and what the future holds for Worksome Intelligence.
We are releasing Worksome Intelligence, and I'm super excited about this because this is our first step in fully leaning into the wonders of AI and what it could do to actually serve users much better than we have before. So, we are launching the first set of products that should dramatically improve the user experience inside Worksome by utilizing the modern technologies that we now have available.
The big question is: why are we releasing Worksome Intelligence?
I'm super excited about this because I do think this marks the beginning of a new era for how enterprise applications are built. I believe we are now entering a point in time where not just Worksome, but enterprise applications as a whole, will be able to dramatically increase the richness of their products—adding new features and supporting more complex workflows—without compromising the user experience, which has traditionally been the case. Right? So this makes me super excited.
What are the features of Worksome Intelligence?
I think it's important to understand this first set of features that we're now launching, while I'm excited about that, I'm more excited about the path that we're now on as a company. I think this is just the inarguable features of Worksome intelligence, but much more exciting features will come in the future. And I think this is marking sort of a fork in our history, where we are now leaning into these adventures of AI and how we can dramatically improve the user experience by using this right.
So we will have the first couple of launch features already available in the product, which is our Assistant that will effectively help you find the information you need when you need it. So you don't have to remember, ‘I need to know when this contract is expiring, so I need to go here and here and there to retrieve that information.’ You can just get it right away because you can ask the Assistant, which will fetch the information for you.
What is your vision for the future of Worksome Intelligence?
I think what we're seeing right now is a change in how you build software. When we set out to build Worksome in the first place, the whole idea of Worksome was to say, ‘Hey, we want to reduce the friction that sits in the way of people working with an external workforce,’ right? And we know there are a lot of complex workflows that we need to cater to inside big corporations in order for them to compliantly work with an external workforce. So, this is really the silver bullet for us to deliver on that promise of ours.
I think we've done pretty well so far, but as we expand our product, we will see that it will become increasingly difficult to maintain a high degree of user experience if we follow the path that we're currently on. I do imagine that with AI, we could dramatically improve the way this machine actually runs. We can dramatically increase the user experience and reduce the friction that sits in the way of people doing what they love doing.
We are releasing Worksome Intelligence, which is a new initiative where we incorporate AI technology into our product.
I'm Hans Peter. I am CTO and co-founder here at Worksome, and I'm working with our product engineering team to build amazing features in our product.
The big question is: “Why”, why are we releasing this?
We believe that the time is right to add AI technologies into our product. The technologies have matured, and there are a lot of tools available for us to incorporate into the product.
We want to enhance the user experience. We want to remove friction in our product. We have a very deep product that comes from all the features we support. And with AI technology, we believe we can make things like time-to-hire shorter and time-to-payment shorter, and overall enhance the user experience for both the worker and the hiring managers or other users from the company.
What are the features of Worksome Intelligence?
The first feature we will be releasing, which is coming up shortly, is the Worksome Assistant. This is a chat assistant available for users within the context of one hire.
You can ask it questions such as, 'What is the status?', 'Are there any blockers for this hire to move forward?', 'How many payments have been made?', 'Are there any pending?'—and, in general, just get help to move things forward within this hire for all users, workers, and hiring managers involved.
What is your vision for the future of Worksome Intelligence?
The vision of Worksome Intelligence in the future is that it will be naturally integrated into all our features. And we can only imagine, with AI evolving over the next 1, 2, or 3 years, how it will be able to do more and more on behalf of users in the product. We can think of agents and other approaches where we simply relieve users of a lot of the admin work in the product.
And this is part not only of the vision for Worksome Intelligence but also the vision of Worksome as a whole.
