Our client, a digital technology company that provides IT transformation services, faced significant challenges managing their independent contractors (ICs) and freelance workforce. With the aim of innovating their supply chain and enhancing operational efficiency, they partnered with Worksome in June 2023. 

Initial Challenges

This client initially struggled with a nonexistent system for engaging and managing its freelance workforce. The company relied solely on client referrals for hiring, lacking a formal process for contract management, payments, and compliance.

A Low-Risk, Turnkey Pilot

A pilot program was designed with specific goals to enhance workforce management. Firstly, it aimed to establish a new and proven supply channel, ensuring a steady and reliable source of talent. Secondly, the program targeted contracting 20 independent contractors, expanding the workforce with skilled professionals. The client needed a reliable Agent of Record (AoR) service provider to insure their engagements and effectively lower their risk.
